They are proud that their company was founded by a mom. She had a vision of turning an old, yet functional, idea into something new by infusing baby carriers with fashion. Her idea sparked The Peanut Shell genesis in the baby sling industry. As The Peanut Shell grew, their founder decided to focus on family and other projects and handed the management reigns over to Farallon Brands, a brand management company that specializes in bringing quality products to consumers.
Testing showed that the methods used to prepare the peanut shells prior to compression in the press had far more influence on briquette quality than the design of the briquette press itself.
The was measured using a homemade bomb calorimeter, but it was found that the calorimeter was very sensitive to sampling variability. Despite the large amount of variability in these measurements, it can be noted that all of the measurements are above reference calorific value for oak firewood. This shows that the peanut shell briquettes have a strong potential to have a calorific value that is higher than that of firewood.
The main goals of using the peanut shell are; solving the physical problems in structers, high quality, low unit-volume-weighted average, high thermal resistance, sufficien mechanical resistance, economical, easy appliance and short time producing.
