Vtech and other companies have been making kid versions of adult gadgets for years, and they’re good at it. Polaroid, however, is not the name that comes to mind for such devices. They’re trying to change that image as they enter their 75th year as a company. The Polaroid Kids Tablet is a good start. It might be targeted at kids, but the design and build quality make it feel and look like an adult piece of tech.
The new kid-friendly tablet has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, instead of an 800 x 600 display on the first model. New Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 sports a 1.6GHz Cortex-A9 dual-core processor. That’s higher chip than the original version, which has a 1GHz Cortex-A8 SoC.
Joining with the and the tablets, has also officially announced the children-centric gadget. The device is dubbed the Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 (PTAB780), which offers comfortable to use for their children. It is an improved version from the 7 that unveiled during CES 2013 early this year.
